The weather guys predicted showers, or maybe cloudy. Instead, the day dawned clear and sunny and warmed up into the mid 70s. An absolutely beautiful day to gather together a great collection of America's Sports Car. Thirty Four Corvettes came out to our Sponsoring Dealer, Jim Sigel Chevrolet. Cars came from three Corvette Clubs, One Street Rod Club, and from the general public. Cars ranged from 1959 to 2007 and included a supercharged dragster and an SCCA T-1 class race car.
There were refrehments, the "Duck Derby" folks, a live broadcast on our local radio station, and a great raffle. The raffle ticket sale was for the benefit of our Charity, Candlelighter's For Kids With Cancer, www.4kidswithcancer.org and when it was all over we were able to present $400.00 to Michele Morgan the Southern Oregon Chairperson.
Class and Best In Show awards were provided by Jim Sigel Chevrolet and were awarded to:

Class B (68-82) Wayne & Juanita Gillaspey, '68 Coupe
Class C (84-96) Dennie & Sandee Anderson, '94 Coupe
Class D (97-04) Dave & Sharon Wills, '99 Convertible
Class E (05-08) Len & Marga Atlas, '06 Coupe
Best In Show - Richard & Christy Heimlich, '04 Z-06

7th Annual Club Picnic
Immediately following the Car Show at Jim Sigel Chevrolet, Thirty Seven Club Members gathered at Len and Marga's home for the seventh annual Club Picnic and Bar-B-Q. Horseshoes, Hula Hoops and a Blindfold Golf Cart Race were the warm up for the food. And there was plenty of food, Grilled Terriyaki Tri-Tip, Fried Chicken, Salads and Tons of wonderful deserts. Lots of fun and good fellowship, is what this club is all about, and that is what everyone enjoyed at the picnic.
