Cruise To The Coast

We all met in Gold Hill, Seven Corvettes (and one Audi), Early Saturday morning. We took the back roads up to Seven Feathers. A beautiful drive. We crossed I-5 and continued on the back roads to Winchester Bay, with some "spirited" driving along the way.

On the way to Winchester Bay, we stopped at the Elk Viewing Area and saw some really beautiful animals. The cows in one group and the bulls in another.

When we got to Winchester Bay, we checked into our hotel which was small, but nice, clean, and had good service. All the restaurants were within walking distance for lunch, dinner and breakfast, and all were exceedingly good.

We then left for a tour of the Winchester Bay Lighthouse and Museum. We were given preferred parking right in front of the Museum, which was very much appreciated. Both the Lighthouse and Museum were very interesting and presented some really neat photo ops.

Sunday morning, after breakfast, we headed South, stopping along the way to see the Dunes outside of Coos Bay. We drove through Coos Bay and from there, on home along some more really beautiful roads. Everyone had a great time on this very well planned run put on by Ron & Barb Sexton.
